Drinking Cognac in Cognac!

Wednesday, October 25, 2017 1 No tags 0

I recently got back home from a super stellar, tasty, luxurious, jam-packed, fun trip to Cognac! I partnered with Atout France once again (remember my trip to Burgundy?) and got to explore a region in southern France that I had never traveled to and always been curious about.

Cognac is something I obviously know of, but it’s not something I drink often. I was amazed at all of the things I learned about this beautifully aged and complex spirit and the history and tradition of it, and by the end of the trip I had totally fallen in love with Cognac.

I’ve been drinking it with friends and as a night cap at home since I returned. Check out both of the videos we shot while there, maybe you’ll learn a thing or two as well, and hopefully get excited to drink more Cognac and maybe even plan a trip there. Bonus tip – Bordeaux is a just about an hour drive away. Two for one!

Thank you to all of our partners and sponsors and all of the kind, generous, and funny people we met along the way. Full thank you’s in the credits of the videos and in the description box on YouTube!

Lazy Bitch: Dirty Gin Martini with Ancient Olive Trees

Tuesday, March 7, 2017 0 No tags 1

I’m feeling super sophisticated (and a little dirty, of course) with this martini. Such a simple drink and a classic, I don’t know why I don’t make it more often! I’m a gin kinda lady, but feel free to use vodka if that’s your thing. But to keep this thing dirty, we must use the olive juice. And not just any old olive juice, this beautiful stuff fromĀ Ancient Olive Trees. Loving this premium addition to my martini! It’s super luxurious, but won’t break the bank ($25), and is so worth it.

Watch the full video above or here for the lazy bitch approved recipe and some martini 101 basics!

Hot off the (internet) presses! Happy to finally announce Airbnb‘s new way to experience travel – TripsĀ – of which I am a founding City Host. I’ve been playing wine guide for a handful of months now to travelers and it’s been a blast. Excited to finally be able to talk about it. If you are coming to LA for vacation or even if you live here, let’s drink some wine together!
