Holiday Parties

I have a love/hate relationship with holiday parties. Once December rolls around, everyone and their mom has a party. The evites pop up in abundance and I get overwhelmed. But then I get to the party and I feel bad about complaining that I have friends that want to invite me to things and realize there is amazing food and drink and people I care about and life is great.

The Domaine LA holiday party was this past weekend and it’s one I always look forward to. This year was especially nice and hosted by some friends of the shop at their beautiful home. We ended the night on the deck outside eating persimmon pudding, drinking more wine and taking in the twinkly LA city view. Pretty magical.

To see what we had to eat and drink, head over to the Domaine LA blog.

I feel bad complaining about holiday parties too but they’re exhausting! I wish they were all holiday PJ parties.

I couldn’t agree more! I find holiday parties extremely tiring as well. However, regardless of ‘tiredness,’ I always find myself extremely appreciative of my family, friends, and (of course) great food!

I agree that attending so many parties can be exhausting, but just think about the host/hostesses!
I host holiday parties every year for my business but I need a full week of downtime afterwards to recuperate.
Hosting them for friends at home is MUCH less stressful, but I rarely get the opportunity to do so anymore.
Hoping everyone had at least ONE spectacular holiday party that they can rave about this season!

    Happy New Year!
