Dream Wine

Let’s pretend we’re at a party and we’re playing some kind of 20 questions ice breaker. Mmmmkay? So, if you could create your dream wine what would it be? If you had to construct one taste sensation that you would live with forever and ever until death do you part? Tough call. I have voluntarily asked myself (and you) an annoying question.

All right, I’ll go first. (Duh. This is my blog and I’m typing and technically talking to myself right now, but please leave comments and share your answers so I don’t feel so lame.) Anyway. Since I’m playing mad scientist, I will throw all of my favorite things in to the pot and hope for the best.  Let’s go with some Mosel Riesling, Sagrantino, old Rioja, Champagne, Barolo, Chenin Blanc, Northern Rhone Syrah, some kind of  Loire red, cru Beaujolais, Ramato style Pinot Grigio, and white Burgundy.

Gross? Maybe, but love is blind.

mine would have a nose that i could smell for minutes on end, a nice streak of acidity, is open to all types of cuisine, and doesn’t mind if i have it over just to watch TV with no making out involved. it’s not judge-y because it doesn’t want to be judge (check your points at the door, please), but if a buddy wants to talk about it at length, it won’t shy away.

oh, and it might be orange.

Gruner Veltliner+ Gewurztraminer + Riesling = my dream wine! What can I say, my name is Heidi & although I’ve never been to either country, I have a thing for the German & Austrian wines :)
